PROFILE

I am an academician and administrator working in the field of Gujarati language and literature, with over 26 years of experience in higher education. I am presently serving as Principal, SLU Arts and H & P Thakore Commerce College, Ahmedabad.

I hold a B.Ed., M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. from Gujarat University and qualified the UGC-NET with Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in Gujarati. During my academic career, I have served in various academic and administrative positions across many locations in Gujarat .My academic and administrative work has involved higher education, language and literature, research, institutional administration and academic programmes.

RESEARCH INTEREST

My academic and research interests include Gujarati language and literature, Gujarati literary criticism, Indian literary traditions, literary theory, comparative literature, translation studies, folk literature, language education and research methodology.

My scholarly work has focused on Gujarati poetry, fiction, literary criticism, language and culture, tribal and folk literature, and the application of modern technology in the development and dissemination of Gujarati language and literature.

I have served as a Ph. D. Guide to many scholars atHemchandracharya North Gujarat University and C. U. Shah University. Currently, I am Ph. D. Guide to scholars at Gujarat University. I have also served as an M.Phil. Guide and as a recognized University Postgraduate and Undergraduate Teacher at various universities.
